Tidal Enterprise Scheduler establishes a leadership position in distributed workload automation, becoming the automation tool of choice for orchestrating complex cross-platform workloads in the post-mainframe world. The software demonstrates agility, scalability, reliability, and enterprise-class performance, delivering business value to 700+ customers worldwide. It gains a global reputation for being both easy-to-use (no scripting required) and exceptionally flexible – ideal for helping enterprises take advantage of new opportunities in a rapidly-changing business technology landscape. CISCO ACQUIRES TIDAL
Cisco buys the world's finest IT automation tool, Tidal, and renames it Cisco Workload Automation (CWA). CWA becomes an important member of Cisco's broad IT portfolio offered to enterprise customers worldwide.
STA GROUP ACQUIRES TIDAL
Seeking to hand Tidal over to an innovation company that can continue the software's legacy of automation excellence, Cisco turns to its trusted partner, STA Group. STA Group is a Chicago-based technology leader in digital automation with world-class expertise in big data, cloud, and IoT. STA Group acquires the Tidal platform from Cisco in November 2017, renames it Tidal Workload Automation, and launches an exciting and aggressive innovation roadmap that STA is calling, The Next Wave in Workload Automation. With more than 200 engineers building tomorrow's technology, STA Group announces big plans for Tidal in terms of performance improvements and new game-changing features.
STA Group announces the CustomerFirst Program. CustomerFirst is an attitude and a way of doing business that helps elevate the success of Tidal customers and maximizes the value of their Tidal investments. It gives customers a direct and powerful voice about the product and its future in an open, collaborative partnership.
McNEES AS CEO
STA Group appoints Rick McNees as CEO of the Tidal Workload Automation business. McNees joins the STA Group team from previous leadership positions at IBM, Platinum Technology, and Micro Focus. "Rick brings unparalleled executive leadership, a wealth of enterprise technology experience, and a passion for innovation that will drive the next wave in workload automation," says David Dillon, Senior Managing Director, STA Group.
BARLOW IN EMEA
STA Group appoints Mark Barlow as Managing Director, EMEA. Based on London, Barlow, an experienced sales executive, will be driving sales, customer, and partner relationships in the EMEA region.
NORTHEAST USER GROUP MEETING - BOSTON
STA Group holds a Northeast Tidal User Group Meeting in the Boston area – the first of many local Tidal User Group Meetings to be held in 2018 and beyond. As one attendee says, "terrific event, loved the content and appreciated the chance to share ideas with other Tidal users."
TIDAL'S NORTHEAST USER GROUP MEETING – A DAY OF INFORMATION-SHARING AND INSIGHT!
At the Tidal Northeast User Group meeting outside of Boston, Tidal users mingled with Tidal product and engineering leadership to compare notes, share best practices, and discuss strategies for maximizing the value of the Tidal investment within an IT portfolio.
The Tidal team – including our Chief Architect – was on hand to share our 2018 Product Roadmap, walk through our aggressive release schedule, and open up the floor to questions and answers about STA Group's forward plans for the automation platform.
We talked features, technology, and user tips. Customers debated strategies and shared learnings. All in all, an insightful day.
